A while ago I made some camping gear – a rucksack, a tent, a lantern and a small folding knife. I then set out to walk up the River Severn to try them out. This was my first (failed!) attempt:

Rather late in the season, Katie and I headed out for hike across the Mendip hills. We expected to spend a night out in the wild. We spent two nights and an whole extra day!
