Carving tools

After making many spoons and other things with my original Viking style knife I realized that I did nearly all the carving with just the first 2 1/4 inches of the blade. So, I made a new knife just for carving with a 2 1/4 inch blade of similar profile and shape to the original and now use this for most of my carving work. It’s such a handy little knife I thought I’d offer it for sale!

Also available is my hook knife – loosely based off the Mora design – it has the same double edge so can be used in either hand, but has a much improved bevel which goes in an unbroken curve from one edge to the other. This smooth curving bevel makes it much easier to scoop out wood from the bowls of spoons etc.

These two tools along with my splitting froe (now parang) and a bit of sandpaper are the only tools I use to make spoons, spatulas and ladles.

The two tools are available individually for £50 each or as a pair for £90 (P&P included in both cases).

As with the other items these are currently only available to patrons (and even then you must be over 18!) so please message me through Patreon to order.
